(E2) Restores 1 Skill Point Once Attacking/Skill Point Once Attacked every 4 seconds when deployed

Comment: A talent which assists in charging sp of operators with manual charging skill (attacking enemy or receiving attack), this includes Ch’en herself, Lappland S2, Blue Poison S1, Liskarm and so on. Useful when paired correctly with the right operators.

Blade Art (Learn at E2)

Without Potential
ATK +5%; DEF +5%; Physical Dodge +10%

With Potential 5
ATK +6%; DEF +6%; Physical Dodge +13%

Comment: A straightforward and useful buff which increases Ch’en combat ability, though the increase during Potential 5 is on the low side. The dodge rate are not significant either, but it may prove to be useful in some occasion.

Comment: While the reduction of deployment cost is optimal for Ch’en, her overall potential effects are average. She is not suggested to max potential when resources are limited.

Comment: Considering the only Control Center LGB operator Ch’en can pair with is Swire, Ch’en is better off assigned in Reception Room for her clue buff. Anyhow, if the choice of operators is limited, she still provide an okay-buff working in the Control Center

Significant Changes: Level 4, 7, and 10
Mastery Suggestion: No, but can be considered
Comment: Chen’s starter skill with low SP cost and high ATK multiplication. Almost-permanent stun to enemy is plausible when abused with other operators like Liskarm, Warfarin and etc.

Comment: Ch’en signature skill which deals both physical and magical damage. Extremely useful and powerful against all kinds of enemies. At M3, players may use her as a parachute unit to abuse her skill. Also do take notice that the skill can damage aerial enemies.

Significant Changes: Level 4, 7, 8 and 10
Mastery Suggestion: Yes
Comment: Ch’en highly explosive skill. Good to be use against boss unit. It can sort of evolve to an aoe, considering she will continue find nearest foe to target until she completed all 10 slashes. Do be aware that this skill cannot target aerial enemies.

Usage Guide

Ch’en selling point is perhaps the different role she is able to put up with. First and foremost, she can be treated as a typical melee damage dealer in most combat. Depending on the needs of such role, she can bring either skills to compliment them. S1 and S3 are better used against boss or elite units, while S2 is a reliable aoe.

If her S2 is at M3, she can be used as a high-cost parachute unit to clear off large amount of enemies with her skill. Since her S2 includes both physical and magical damage, her foes are not limited to low physical def units only.

As for her SP regen talent, while she is irreplaceable over that, it should be treated as a complimentary bonus. There is absolutely no reason to use her as a SP battery when she is better off in other roles. Then again, she can be considered if player is devising some big brain plan and urgently require her as a SP battery.

Conclusion

Ch’en is no doubt a good unit, but she is not new player friendly. Her combat potentials can only be shown upon specialization, and that’s a very long process. New players are better off using that resources on someone else first before coming back to train her.
